New Range of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)

Discover our new range of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), specially designed to ensure an uninterrupted power supply in critical installations such as hospitals, data centers, industrial buildings, and more.

This range is available in various configurations, from 63A to 630A, in 3P and 3P+N versions, and incorporates advanced features that guarantee electrical reliability in critical systems.

What is an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS)?

An Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is a device that automatically switches the power supply from its primary source to a backup source during a power outage or interruption. It monitors the power source, detecting interruptions or fluctuations, and switches to the backup system without manual intervention.

The main goal of this solution is to ensure continuous power for critical systems. This equipment is essential in installations where an uninterrupted power supply is vital, such as hospitals, data centers, industrial facilities, and commercial buildings.

Our new ATS range includes two series (C1 and C2) of remote and automatic changeover switches in 3P and 3P+N versions, from 63A to 630A.

How does an Automatic Transfer Switch Work?

The ATS constantly monitors the status of the primary power source. When it detects an interruption or anomaly (such as undervoltage, overvoltage, or phase loss), it sends a signal to the backup generator to start. Once the generator reaches optimal operating conditions, the switch automatically transfers the load to the secondary power source. When the primary source is restored and stable, the ATS performs the reverse transfer, switching the load back to the grid and shutting off the generator.

In the automatic and programmable configuration, it allows monitoring and network switching between two power sources, according to the settings on the display or via communication.

Key Features of our ATS Range:

High Short Circuit Resistance: Our ATS devices offer high short-circuit resistance, ensuring electrical safety even under extreme conditions.

Easy Installation and Quick Connection: With its Plug & Play design, it allows for quick installation and requires no maintenance.

Lockable OFF Switch: For added safety, our ATS models feature a lockable manual switch in the OFF position, allowing safe maintenance tasks.

Removable LCD Screen and Remote Communication: The C2 series includes a removable LCD screen and RS-485 communication, enabling remote system monitoring and programming.

High Electrical and Mechanical Reliability: Built to strict quality standards, these switches provide a long service life.

Compatibility and Flexibility: The range includes various power ratings and configurations, allowing use in a wide variety of industrial, commercial, and residential applications.

What types of Configurations does Telergon’s ATS Range Offer?

Choose the appropriate automatic transfer switch configuration based on the operational needs of each installation:

C1-G Series: Remote Transfer

An ideal configuration for applications where the source switch must be motorized, but automatic transfer is not required. It is the most cost-effective option in the range, offering remote activation but not an automatic system.

C1-C Series: Automatic Transfer

Designed for environments where a quick response is critical, this version performs automatic transfer, including three-phase protection and generator start-up functions. When a fault is detected in the main source, the device acts immediately and autonomously, ensuring rapid continuity of power supply.

C2 Series: Automatic and Programmable Transfer

The most advanced option, combining automatic transfer with programmable functions, remote communication integration, and real-time monitoring via its LCD screen. This ATS type combines automatic operation with the ability to be programmed to perform transfers under specific conditions or customized power quality parameters. It can also integrate with energy management systems or smart buildings.

The automatic transfer switch is an essential component in electrical systems where continuous power supply is vital. The choice of the right configuration depends on the specific needs of each installation: while remote operation systems may suffice for small applications, automatic systems ensure a quick and efficient response to failures. On the other hand, automatic and programmable ATS devices are ideal for environments where energy management must be optimized and customized transfers are required.

With the launch of this new range of Automatic Transfer Switches, Telergon reaffirms its commitment to innovation and quality in critical electrical solutions for industrial installations, hospitals, or data centers. These devices offer maximum safety, reliability, and ease of use.
