Transfer Switch Panels: Electrical Protection and Continuity

Transfer switch panels consists of an Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) integrated into an enclosure. It is designed to ensure continuous power supply in critical installations. The system incorporates automatic switching within a high-protection metal or polyester enclosure, providing enhanced mechanical strength and resistance to dust and harsh environmental conditions.

This type of solution is essential when power continuity must be guaranteed during grid failures, automatically switching to an alternative source such as a generator set.

What is an enclosed transfer switch used for?

  • Automatically detect failures in the main power supply
  • Switch the load to a secondary power source
  • Restore connection to the main supply once it is available again
  • Protect electrical systems in demanding industrial environments

Unlike open ATS units, the enclosed solution provides IP-rated protection and mechanical safety in a complete, ready-to-install system.

Discover Telergon’s CTRL range: High-Protection Transfer Switch Panels

The CTRL range expands Telergon’s automatic transfer switch series with robust metal and polyester enclosure versions, designed for wall-mounted installation.

Available from 63A to 630A in metal enclosures and from 63A to 250A in polyester enclosures, with 3 Pole + Neutral (3P+N) and single-phase (1P+N) configurations.

This range is specifically developed for critical installations such as industrial applications, hospitals and data centres, where ensuring continuous power supply is essential.

Its wall-mounted design and high protection rating make it a reliable solution for demanding environments.

Key Advantages of Enclosed Transfer Switches

The enclosed ATS format provides:

  • IP65 / IP66 protection rating
  • Enhanced mechanical strength
  • Protection against dust and external agents
  • 2 mm steel construction with epoxy coating
  • Direct wall mounting
  • Compact, ready-to-install solution

This reduces installation time and improves operational safety.
